Sleep Disorders

Shiftworkers who have difficulty feeling rested and getting the sleep they need are usually thought to be suffering the consequences of shift work. However, this is not always the case. They may be suffering with a sleep disorder that has not been recognized or diagnosed because the sleep problem has been associated with the shift work.

Consider first - Are you doing appropriate self-care? Do you have a schedule which may be impacting your sleep?

Then consider - Do you have symptoms of a sleep disorder? Go to www.associatedsleepservices.com and check the information under Sleep Disorders. If you recognize any of the symptoms, report this to your physician or have Associated Sleep Services do an assessment.
